The development of Agri-PV in Luxembourg continues to progress! In February 2025, the Ministry of Economy, SMEs, Energy, and Tourism (MECO) launched a second national tender for Agri-PV projects. Interested parties can submit their applications until September 1, 2025, to secure the opportunity for attractive funding.
To be successful in the tender, projects must follow a holistic approach. This means that a well-balanced combination of a photovoltaic system, active agricultural use, and biodiversity-promoting measures is required. The goal is to harmonize renewable energy production with agricultural yields while preserving valuable farmland.
Projects that are awarded funding under the tender will benefit from a guaranteed feed-in tariff for the electricity they generate—for a period of 15 years. The maximum tariff rate depends on the type of PV system chosen, ensuring optimal support for various installation types.
